Cybercrime: Over 5,000 Complaints in 11 Months

Online incidents continue to rise in Mauritius, with a total of 5,233 cases reported between January and November 2025. Women remain the primary victims, with 2,773 complaints compared to 2,460 for men.

Online harassment remains the most concerning category, with 1,414 cases, averaging more than five reports per day. Women are particularly vulnerable in this area. Following this, cyberbullying accounts for 623 complaints, while online scams and frauds reach 763 cases.
