At the Côte-d'Or Technopole: Between Hopes and Risks, Mauritius Charts Its Path Towards Responsible AI
The Minister of Information Technology, Communication, and Innovation, Avinash Ramtohul, announced the launch of a national artificial intelligence (AI) strategy by the end of January 2026. This strategy aims to accelerate Mauritius's digital transformation and regulate the increasing use of AI technologies in both public and private sectors. The announcement was made yesterday during the Gen AI Summit for Sustainable Development, organized by the Sp group.
