Hotel Taxis: 23 Establishments Without Official Taxi Base

In response to a question from MP Sandeep Prayag regarding the operation of taxi services at hotels, Minister of Land Transport Osman Mahomed stated that a national survey was conducted in 2022 by the National Land Transport Authority (NLTA) to assess the availability and relevance of taxi services in all hotels. The study identified 1,079 taxis operating from 67 hotels, while 23 hotels lacked any official taxi base.
