Accident in Mont-Choisy: A motorcyclist dies after a collision

Nashib Parashnath, 63, from Triolet, succumbed to his injuries following a severe accident on the morning of December 5th at Chemin Vingt Pieds, Mont-Choisy. Riding his motorcycle, he collided with a car. Critically injured, he was rushed to SSRN Hospital by ambulance but passed away a few hours later. An autopsy conducted the same day by Dr. Shaila Prasad Jankee determined that the cause of death was severe chest trauma. The driver involved, a resident of Floréal, had left the scene by the time police arrived but later presented himself at the Trou-aux-Biches police station.

After receiving treatment at Triolet Mediclinic, he was transferred to SSRN Hospital due to feeling unwell. His condition is stable. He has a prosthetic right leg due to amputation. His account of the incident will be recorded, and he is expected to be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

The accident scene showed significant damage: both vehicles were severely damaged, a roadside palm grove was struck, and scratches were noted on a concrete wall. The vehicles were towed for investigation purposes, which is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
