Night Market: Over 500 Merchants Apply in Port-Louis

The Port-Louis municipality is actively preparing for its very first Night Market, set to run from Friday, December 12, 2025, until January 5, 2026.

A total of 534 merchants have registered to secure a stall on Desforges Street. The municipal teams are currently verifying the applications. A lottery, supervised by a bailiff, will determine the selected exhibitors.

In a statement to Radio-Plus on Monday, December 8, Mayor Aslam Hosenally indicated that a request will be made to the authorities to extend the market to other streets, aiming to allow more merchants to participate during the festive season.
