Perspective: Does the Points Driving License Send the Right Message? ...And is it the Right Example?

The points driving license is back! It will certainly help. However, it will not solve the problem of road accidents, especially those that are fatal.

Respecting the traffic code is obviously crucial. Discipline is important too. However, we are in a country where the traffic code could at least be made more logical before we start enforcing it.

How can we motivate a driver to adhere to speed limits and stay within lane markings when they are often unclear?
