Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry Officialize Their Relationship

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and American singer Katy Perry have officially confirmed their relationship on social media, just weeks after their first public appearance on a Paris red carpet.

In a series of photos and videos posted on her Instagram account on Saturday with the caption "In Tokyo on tour, and more," the artist behind hits like "I Kissed a Girl" and "California Gurls" showcased moments in the Japanese capital with Justin Trudeau, including cheek-to-cheek poses, enjoying sushi, and sitting back-to-back in a museum.

Earlier in the week, Justin Trudeau commented on a photo of the duo posing alongside former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, which was shared by the Japanese leader. "Katy and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to sit beside you," he wrote on X.

The 53-year-old former politician and the 41-year-old singer were spotted holding hands at the end of October on the red carpet of a Paris cabaret.

Justin Trudeau stepped down as Prime Minister in March after a decade leading Canada. He and his wife Sophie Grégoire, who share three children, announced their separation in the summer of 2023.

Katy Perry was previously in a relationship with British actor Orlando Bloom, and they are parents to a daughter.

In April, the pop star participated in an all-female trip to space aboard Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin rocket.
