In a Clinic: A Doctor Assaulted by a Patient's Daughter

An altercation occurred on Saturday evening at a private clinic in the Quatre-Bornes area. A medical staff member claims to have been assaulted by a patient’s daughter who came for a consultation. According to the police report, the incident took place around 6 PM while the doctor was on duty. The woman had come to discuss the radiological exams recommended for her father, a patient at the clinic. The conversation quickly escalated.

Frustrated with the explanations given, she allegedly lost her temper and slapped the doctor before grabbing a bottle of disinfectant from a counter, as stated by the doctor in his complaint. She then threw it in his direction, hitting him in the chest. In the heat of the moment, she threatened to damage his vehicle and even to harm him.

The doctor reported that he was not injured, although he felt some pain. He declined a medical examination and refused to fill out the PF 58 form. Nevertheless, he insisted on reporting the incident, which he describes as an unjustified assault in the course of his duties.

The area where the incident took place is equipped with surveillance cameras, which should provide investigators with useful footage to determine the sequence of events. The police will now need to establish the exact circumstances of this confrontation and decide on the next steps. The investigation is ongoing.
