Exchange Between Adrien Duval and the Speaker: Tensions at the National Assembly

On Tuesday, December 9, the question session reserved for ministers at the National Assembly was temporarily suspended following an exchange between Adrien Duval and Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra.

While questioning Minister Arvin Boolell about the registration of dogs, the PMSD MP was called to order by the Speaker, as his questions were deemed too lengthy.

The opposition Whip then questioned Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra's impartiality, suggesting that she was not as strict with members of the ruling party.

The session was suspended for about 15 minutes before resuming.
