SeDEC Continues Dialogue with the Ministry of Education on School Reform
The Diocesan Service of Catholic Education (SeDEC) is continuing its discussions with educational authorities to support reform projects and ensure quality education for all students.
On Tuesday, December 9, the Diocesan Service of Catholic Education (SeDEC) held a working session with the Ministry of Education as part of discussions regarding the reform of the national education system.
This meeting brought together the president of the Roman Catholic Secondary Schools Union (RCSSU) as well as the Deputy Director and head of secondary education at SeDEC. The discussions particularly focused on the establishment of National Colleges and other aspects of the reform that directly impact school life.
SeDEC welcomes any initiative aimed at improving the quality of education provided to children and youth in the Republic of Mauritius. The institution reaffirms its commitment to the fundamental values of Catholic education: respect for the dignity of every person, equality of opportunity, inclusion, and the integral development of each student.
New consultation sessions are planned to continue the dialogue.
