The Speaker: "I am not here to defend Mrs. Navarre-Marie"

The Speaker stated, "I am not here to defend Mrs. Navarre-Marie or any minister for that matter. My role is to ensure that there is justice and democracy in Parliament. No one should claim that I am someone who supports the MMM party," she declared. This came after a discussion regarding the exchanges between Minister Arianne Navarre-Marie and MP Stéphanie Anquetil. She spoke to the press following a meeting during the Regional Francophone Parliament for Youth of the Indian Ocean, held at the National Assembly's Lunch Room.
