Gastroenteritis: 919 Cases Reported Between December 1st and 6th

Public hospitals recorded 919 cases of gastroenteritis from December 1st to 6th, compared to 907 cases the previous week. The heat and humidity are conducive to the proliferation of bacteria, warns Dr. Fazil Khodabocus.

In response to the situation, the Ministry of Health is intensifying sanitary inspections, especially since fast food outlets and restaurants are experiencing a high influx of customers during this festive season.
