Trip to India: Court Rejects Renganaden Padayachy's Request
The request made by former Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy to travel to India for a conference scheduled for December 15 and 16, 2025, was rejected by the Port Louis court yesterday. The court found that the reasons provided by the former minister were unjustified and did not cause him any harm. Renganaden Padayachy had been arrested twice in connection with investigations by the Anti-Money Laundering Unit and the Financial Crimes Commission regarding financial misconduct.
