Heavy Rain: NEOC Moves to Level 2

Following the heavy rain warning issued at 12:30 PM, the National Emergency Operations Command (NEOC) has escalated to Level 2. This means that monitoring will be conducted by staff from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Centre (NDRRMC), with assistance from representatives of key first responders, including the Police and the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Service, among others.

NEOC Communications Officer Pravind Rughoo advises the public to take all necessary safety precautions, especially those in high-risk areas and those doing their year-end shopping.
