SSR Airport: New 'smart car park' operational on December 15

Deputy Tony Apollon questioned the Prime Minister about the measures being considered to enhance the safety of taxi drivers operating at SSR Airport, following an incident reported on November 15, 2025, involving an attack on the president of their association. Navin Ramgoolam reminded that the issue of unauthorized taxis around the airport has been a recurring problem for several years. Two meetings held in December 2024 and October 2025 by the Ministry of Land Transport addressed this issue.
