Salary Compensation 2026: Rs 635 for Employees Earning up to Rs 50,000

Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam announced in the National Assembly on Friday, December 12, the details regarding the 2026 salary compensation, following Statistics Mauritius's estimation of the 2025 inflation rate at 3.7%. After a meeting of the Tripartite Committee, the government decided to grant a monthly compensation of Rs 635, which is equivalent to 3.7% of the national minimum wage, to employees earning a base salary of up to Rs 50,000.
