Parliament on Vacation Until March 17, 2026
The National Assembly is on vacation until Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The last session of the year was held this Friday.
In his end-of-year speech, Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam stated that Parliament convened forty times in 2025, with the first meeting taking place on January 24, featuring the program speech.
During this year, government members answered 838 parliamentary questions. The opposition leader, Joe Lesjongard, submitted thirty-two Private Notice Questions (PNQs).
Additionally, thirty bills were presented to the National Assembly this year, and twenty-nine were adopted.
