Marital Dispute: A Father Assaulted in Front of His Daughter
A marital dispute in an apartment in La Tour-Koenig left a father injured and his 2-year-old daughter an unwilling traumatized witness.
A 46-year-old man, the General Manager of a company, reported that he was at home around 6 PM on Tuesday, December 9, when an argument erupted between him and his wife. He has been living with his 45-year-old wife for four years, and they have a 2-year-old daughter together.
Since June 2024, the father has been seeking a divorce for fault in the Supreme Court, citing a relationship marked by tension, repeated disputes, and an unbearable marital atmosphere. He claims the incident on Tuesday was one of the most violent episodes since their disagreements began.
According to his complaint filed at the local police station, he was preparing to leave with his daughter in his arms when the argument escalated. His wife allegedly became enraged, insulted him, and assaulted him while he was still holding their child.
Caught off guard, he tried to step away, but she persisted. The father then went to Dr. A. G. Jeetoo Hospital, where a doctor filled out a Form 58.
His anxiety about the future drove him to file a complaint. He fears that his wife's aggression may worsen and endanger his life and that of his daughter. For him, this outburst of violence is not an isolated incident but rather a continuation of an already toxic environment.
Police were unable to locate the wife at her home. They are currently searching for her as part of the investigation. At this time, there are no witnesses to the dispute. The investigation is ongoing.
