[PSAC 2025] Nine-Year-Old Prodigy Muhammad Azhaan Raza Shines in Exams
At just nine years old, Muhammad Azhaan Raza has achieved a remarkable feat by excelling in the PSAC 2025 exams. He earned an aggregate score of 4, with a grade of 1 in every subject, an extraordinary performance for a child his age. Thanks to these exceptional results, he secured a spot at the prestigious Rabindranath Tagore Institute, marking the start of a promising academic journey. Praise be to Almighty Allah, whose blessings, according to the family, guided him toward this remarkable success.
Azhaan began his education at the Pre-Primary School Les Choupettes in Notre Dame, where he built a solid foundation before entering primary school at the age of five. This year, while officially in Grade 5, he took the initiative to sit for the Grade 6 first-term exam—a particularly ambitious challenge for a child of his age. Remarkably, he excelled in both the Grade 5 and Grade 6 tests. Impressed by his performance and maturity, the Principal of Le Nid Modernage Private Primary School, Ms. Anisha, confirmed that he would be promoted to Grade 6 starting from the second term of 2025, stating, "Azhaan has potential, and I am sure he will succeed."
Special recognition goes to his class teacher, Mr. Jhurreea, who has always believed in him. Upon the release of the results, he proudly stated, "Azhaan is a very bright and hardworking student; he has never missed his homework."
His Urdu teacher, Ms. Kaneeza, also supported and encouraged him throughout the year, while his private tutor, Ms. Rooma Sadasing, worked tirelessly to help him master the Grade 5 and Grade 6 curricula in a single year, convinced of his potential.
His mother, Tasneem Raza, who works in education, explained, "This year has been quite challenging, as Azhaan had to cover the Grade 5 and 6 syllabi in just one year, especially in Science and History-Geography, but I worked alongside Azhaan to ensure his success."
His father, Mohd Akhtar Raza, of Indian descent, along with his grandparents, also expressed immense pride: "Azhaan has made the entire family proud. We are very proud of him and sincerely pray for his success in all upcoming exams."
Azhaan is not only brilliant academically but also excels in karate. Right after his PSAC exams, he passed his karate test and earned a brown belt at just nine years old. The family extends special thanks to Sensei Sanjay Ramlutchmun of the Sundragon Karate Club for his motivation and support. They also wish to express their gratitude to Ms. Anisha, Principal of Le Nid Modernage Private Primary School, and to all his former teachers: Ms. Cristabelle, Ms. Shaguftah, and his pre-primary teachers, Ms. Margaret, Ms. Maryline, and Ms. Cassandra, who helped lay the foundations for his success.
On behalf of the Elaheebaccus and Raza families, Azhaan thanks everyone who contributed to his journey, and he sends warm congratulations to all the students who succeeded this year. Supported by his determination, family, and teachers, he now embarks proudly and confidently on his next step at the Rabindranath Tagore Institute.
