National Heritage: The Mahébourg Museum Closes Today for Renovation
The National History Museum in Mahébourg is taking a year for renovations, starting today, December 15. The doors are closing this Monday for a long-awaited upgrade. The last significant renovations date back to the year 2000.
A quarter of a century later, the wear and tear of time has taken its toll on the shingle roof of the De Robillard house, which was transformed into a history museum with a focus on naval history.
