Investigation into Phone Tapping: ACP Lilram Deal Completes Bail Procedures

The Assistant Police Commissioner Lilram Deal appeared again before the Port Louis court on Monday. This was to fulfill the bail conditions imposed by the Port Louis court following his provisional charge under the Official Secrets Act in the Moustass Leaks case on Friday, December 12, 2025.

The senior officer had been granted bail against two sureties of Rs 1 million each and an acknowledgment of debt of Rs 5 million. Unable to pay the bail, he had been detained at the Beau-Bassin prison.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 22, 2026.
