Copyright Payments: MASA Distributes Rs 18 Million Among Local Artists for 2025

The long-awaited distribution of copyright payments for 2025 began on Friday, December 12. This is the only distribution for the year carried out by the Mauritius Society of Authors (MASA). The total amount distributed to local rights holders, including authors, composers, arrangers, and publishers, is Rs 18,423,000. The number of beneficiaries for this distribution is around 1,260, including 50 beneficiaries from Rodrigues. Foreign artists do not receive any payments from this distribution.
