Cloud cover associated with a moderate easterly flow will intermittently influence local weather. The sky will generally be partly cloudy this morning and throughout the day, occasionally becoming overcast, particularly in the east, south, and central plateau, with sporadic showers expected. This is according to the weather bulletin from the Vacoas station issued on Thursday, December 18th.
Maximum temperatures will range between 24 to 27 degrees Celsius in the highlands and between 30 to 32 degrees Celsius along the coastal areas.
Intermittent showers are also anticipated during the night, especially in the eastern part of the island, in the south, and on elevated grounds. Minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 22 to 25 degrees Celsius on the coast.
Winds will blow from the east at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching 60 km/h.
The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with waves approximately 3 meters high. Trips to the open sea, as well as in the lagoons of the east and south, are not recommended.
