PSAC 2025: 1,332 Students Competing in Resit Examinations
The results of the Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) 2025 were made public last week. With a pass rate of 76.9%, a large majority of students successfully completed this crucial stage of primary education. However, for 1,332 candidates, the journey continues with resit examinations starting this Thursday, December 18.
The first day will focus on English and History-Geography exams. The following day, students will tackle Mathematics, concluding on Monday, December 22, with French and Sciences. These sessions are exclusively for children who failed in one, two, or three subjects. Families were informed through an official letter accompanying the results received last week. Additionally, to enhance their chances, students have been attending resit classes since last Friday, a measure aimed at reinforcing their knowledge and addressing identified gaps.
The final results will be announced on January 6, 2026. If successful, parents will need to enroll their child in a private secondary school, which is essential for continuing education into Grade 7. This phase signifies an important transition: entering the secondary cycle, where the foundations laid in primary school will be consolidated and expanded.
For the 1,332 candidates involved, these resit examinations represent a second chance, often a critical opportunity, to continue their educational journey without interruption.
