At SSRN Hospital, Pamplemousses: Two Patients Under Observation Escape

On Wednesday, two escapes were reported at SSRN Hospital in Pamplemousses, prompting a swift response from hospital staff and police. One patient was found a few hours later, while the second is still being searched for.

The first patient, a 38-year-old man admitted earlier that morning for a head injury, left the ward around 8 AM. The alert was raised by the responsible nurse, who immediately notified the police assigned to the hospital. The patient was found safe at 2:30 PM in the Emergency Department.

Shortly after, a second case was reported. This involved a 28-year-old patient, undergoing treatment for substance-related issues, who left the hospital around 11:30 AM. He is approximately 1.70 meters tall, of slim build, and was wearing a gray t-shirt and blue shorts at the time of his escape. A nurse quickly reported his disappearance to the police, who initiated a search to locate him.
