Stevenhills Supports Mauritian Football and the Future of Young Talents with Port-Louis Black Horns

Stevenhills, a key player in the entertainment and sports betting industry in Mauritius, is going beyond its traditional role by actively supporting local football. Since 2021, the brand has been backing the Port-Louis Black Horns football club, led by Patrice D’Avrincourt, through a sponsorship program aimed at encouraging the development of young Mauritian sports talents.

This partnership includes financial support that helps the club cover essential expenses for logistics and the smooth operation of the team. It reflects Stevenhills' commitment to promoting sports as a tool for discipline, inspiration, and personal development for the youth of the nation.

"Thanks to the support from Stevenhills, we can provide our young players with a solid structure, quality equipment, and above all, a clear objective in their sports journey. Football thus becomes a real springboard, giving children the opportunity to believe in their dreams and thrive in a healthy and guided environment," emphasizes Patrice D’Avrincourt, coach and director of the club's academy.

Founded in 1970, the Port-Louis Black Horns club currently has 88 young players in its training center and 50 senior players. The flagship team is currently competing in Division Nationale 1, where it holds a promising position after the first six matches of the 2025-2026 season. This success is the result of rigorous work and a long-term vision aimed at nurturing talented players while instilling values of solidarity, discipline, and perseverance.

"Supporting Port-Louis Black Horns for now five years is primarily about supporting a long-term sports and human project. For us, sport goes far beyond the game: it conveys essential values such as respect, discipline, and teamwork. At our level, we strive to provide concrete support to young players so they can develop in a structured environment and project themselves with more confidence," declares Ricardo Freyneau, COO of Stevenhills.

This initiative is part of a progressive social responsibility approach rooted in the reality of the field. Beyond sporting results, Stevenhills and the Port-Louis Black Horns club pay particular attention to mentoring young players, teaching the values of sports, and the importance of an accessible and inclusive framework.
