Phoenix: Confidential Documents of the Bank of Mauritius Stolen from an Analyst

Phoenix: Confidential documents from the Bank of Mauritius (BoM) related to bank loans, as well as laptops and passports, were stolen from the home of an analyst at the institution. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2025, according to a complaint filed on Sunday at the Phoenix police station.

At the time of the burglary, the victim was away from home. She discovered the theft on Saturday evening upon her return. The value of the stolen personal items is estimated at Rs 50,000. The Phoenix Criminal Investigation Department has taken over the investigation.
