Rivière-du-Rempart: Police Sergeant Duguessur Dies After Gas Water Heater Explosion

A tragic incident occurred in Rivière-du-Rempart following an explosion of a gas water heater on Monday, December 15. Police Sergeant Adeshroy Duguessur, known as Nitin, aged 44, succumbed to severe burns nine days later, on Tuesday, December 23, after being hospitalized.

An autopsy conducted by Chief Forensic Officer Dr. Sudesh Kumar Gungadin and Dr. Pawan Kumar Seewooruttun determined the cause of death to be septicemia.

Intense burns were found on the body of the deceased. The Rivière-du-Rempart police investigation is currently considering the incident as accidental.
