Alcohol, family tensions, financial pressure, and loneliness turn this season, which is supposed to be joyful, into a breaking point. "This is the time when the shelters fill up," emphasizes Mélanie Valère Ciceron, president of the Passerelle NGO. Some women leave their homes to escape violence, while others endure escalating tensions, often leading to critical situations.
