CAN-2025: Algeria led by Riyad Mahrez reaches the Round of 16

Algeria, led by their 34-year-old captain Riyad Mahrez, has qualified for the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time since 2019, after narrowly defeating Burkina Faso 1-0 on Sunday, December 28, in Rabat.
