Mauritian of the Year 2025: Patricia Adèle-Félicité: A Lifelong Commitment to Helping Others

Patricia Adèle-Félicité has achieved remarkable social and professional mobility. This woman in her fifties, originally from Roche-Bois and coming from a modest background—her father was a mason and her mother worked as a housekeeper before becoming a caregiver with the Sisters of Bon Secours—began her career as a stylist. Although she had been involved in social work with the Missionaries of Charity in Roche-Bois since her childhood, it was her strong conviction brought about by a personal experience that propelled her to make a difference in her community.
