Maha Shivratri 2026: The Ministry of Land Transport Reminds of the Regulations Governing 'Kanwars'

As the Mahashivratri festival approaches in 2026, the Ministry of Land Transport reminds that 'kanwars' must adhere to the 'Road Traffic (Control of Structures and Objects During Procession) Regulations 2025'. Structures should not exceed 3 meters in height, 2 meters in width, and 5.5 meters in length. The use of generators is prohibited, except for a 12-volt battery, and it is forbidden to sleep or rest inside the structures.
