World Bank EQOSOGI Report: Mauritius Allows Registration of Intersex Children at Birth
Despite some progress, equal opportunities for sexual and gender minorities remain largely insufficient worldwide. This is the main finding of the report Equality of Opportunities for Sexual and Gender Minorities 2024 (EQOSOGI), published by the World Bank, which analyzes the legal and policy frameworks of 64 countries, including Mauritius.
The report highlights the direct impact of discrimination on human and economic development. Countries must address this issue to promote equality and foster growth.
