New Year Babies: Six Births in Public Hospitals

Between midnight and noon on January 1, 2026, six babies were born in five regional hospitals: three girls and three boys. The first birth of the year occurred at 12:25 AM at Flacq Hospital, a baby boy. Among these births, three were delivered vaginally and three by cesarean section.

The maternity services remained fully operational to welcome these newborns, while the medical staff ensured continuity of care.
