Death of Journalist Rahim Murtuza

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Abdool Rahim Murtuza, a long-time journalist at STAR, who passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 70 after a brief illness.

The funeral procession will leave his home at No. 8, Rashid Khan Lane, Coromandel, this Saturday at 6 PM, heading to the Jummah Masjid in Port-Louis, where the Namaz Janazah will be performed, before burial at the Qabarastan in Riche-Terre.
