Environment: Plastic Suffocates the Indian Ocean

Margot Thibault, a marine biologist and researcher at UMRAnthropi (University of La Réunion), recently presented her doctoral research on plastic pollution in the southwestern Indian Ocean during a regional workshop in Mauritius.

Her study thoroughly analyzes the concentrations of floating plastic in the ocean and debris washed ashore on various islands, including Madagascar, the Eparses Islands, La Réunion, the Seychelles, and other member countries.
