EPL: Liverpool Held by Fulham in the Dying Moments, Sunderland Draws with Tottenham

Liverpool may seem out of the title race, but the Reds still need to secure their spot in the upcoming Champions League. Arne Slot's team (4th place) had the chance to widen the gap on their pursuers during their match against Fulham in the 20th round of the Premier League. Without injured Hugo Ékitiké, the Mersey club was caught off guard just after the 15-minute mark when former Red Harry Wilson opened the scoring (17th minute, 1-0).

It wasn't until the second half that Liverpool responded through Florian Wirtz (57th minute, 1-1), scoring for the second time this season. After dominating the second half, Liverpool thought they would leave with a victory after Cody Gakpo's goal in stoppage time (90+4th minute, 1-2)... But that was before Harrison Reed's stunning equalizer (90+7th minute, 2-2), which snatched a point for the Cottagers and erupted Craven Cottage.

In other matches during this 4:15 PM multiplex, Tottenham was held to a draw by Sunderland (1-1). Ben Davies opened the scoring for the Spurs (30th minute), before Brian Brobbey equalized for the Black Cats managed by Régis Le Bris (80th minute). Sunderland missed another great opportunity to claim 5th place and close the gap to two points behind Liverpool in the standings. Meanwhile, Newcastle dominated Crystal Palace (2-0), while Brentford triumphed over Everton (2-4) with a hat trick from Igor Thiago. The Bees, currently in 7th place, are now just one point behind Manchester United (5th place).
