2026 Outlook: Horse Racing: In the Saddle to Catch Up

The 2025 season, under the auspices of the Mauritius Turf Club (MTC) and its new subsidiary, the MTC Jockey Club (MTCJC), was well-received by racing enthusiasts. It showcased the emergence of a new talent in Arveen Nagadoo, highlighted impressive arrivals, and also included some questionable developments. Additionally, the return and crowning of a symbol with the victory of the Gujadhur stable added to the excitement. However, there is still much work to be done to elevate Mauritian horse racing to the next level.
