Open Letter to the Prime Minister: The Government Hindi Teachers' Union Denounces Salary Irregularities
The Government Hindi Teachers' Union believes that the recent report from the Pay Research Bureau (PRB) reveals both systemic and structural irregularities. In an open letter addressed to the Prime Minister on Monday, January 5th, union negotiator Suttyhudeo Tengur criticized the implementation of the alignment with the legal minimum wage. According to him, this measure was applied in a strictly vertical manner, without a structural adjustment of the immediately higher grades, thereby creating salary distortions. Another point of contention is the inflation compensation mechanism, deemed inadequate and insufficient to maintain purchasing power.
