Murder of Sivanee Saminaden in Petit-Raffray: Feminicide: When Violence Continues Even After the Murder

Shame. That’s the word that comes to mind when reading some comments posted after the feminicide that claimed the life of Sivanee Saminaden, killed by her partner, the Cameroonian Beltrami Bolzano Kemayou. Social media has turned into a public tribunal. The victim was judged for what she supposedly "did wrong": loving a man who is not Mauritian. Quickly, the shock of her death gave way to a wave of racist and xenophobic remarks.
