At GRNO Prison: Inmate Injured During Altercation Between Prisoners

A 37-year-old inmate was injured during a conflict with other prisoners at the Grande-Rivière-Nord-Ouest prison on Monday, January 5th. After sustaining injuries, he was transported to Nehru Hospital in Rose-Belle, where he remains hospitalized.

A police investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding this brawl as well as the identities of the inmates involved. Surveillance footage from the prison will soon be reviewed.
