[Breaking News] Earthquake with a Magnitude of 5.4 Strikes Rodrigues Shortly After 2 PM

This information has been confirmed by the Vacoas meteorological station. The island of Rodrigues felt an earthquake at 2:09 PM this afternoon, with a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake occurred at coordinates 19.2° S and 63.9° E, approximately 77 km northeast of Rodrigues.

According to the Facebook page of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly, several residents reported feeling tremors.

"The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any anomalies. The REOC is monitoring the situation," states the post from the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.
