Incidents at Bain-des-Dames: Two Brothers, Both Police Officers, Suspended from Duty and Arrested

Two brothers, both police officers who have been suspended from duty for about six months, were arrested on Tuesday afternoon by officers from SP Dussoye and Sergeant Mohedinkhan of the CID of Port-Louis South. They are suspected of premeditated assault following a violent brawl at Cassis/Bain-des-Dames on Monday. They will be presented before the court on Wednesday.

These two officers had previously been arrested in 2025 for a case of armed robbery by the CID of Port-Louis South and have since been suspended from their positions.

The incident was captured by CCTV footage, showing an SUV speeding directly towards a group of young people. The group narrowly avoided the impact and retaliated violently against the driver.
