In Mauritius, after some light rain early this morning in the southeast and the highlands, the weather will generally be pleasant during the morning. However, starting from midday, showers are expected mainly over the eastern half of the island as well as the central plateau. Light rain will persist in these areas early in the evening, before gradually improving overnight. Maximum temperatures will range between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius in the central plateau and between 30 and 33 degrees Celsius along the coastal regions. Minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius in the highlands and between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius on the coast. The wind will blow from the east-northeast at about 20 km/h, with gusts during the showers. The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with waves reaching around 2 meters.
