Maryse Justin Stadium: Deven Nagalingum Provides an Update

On Tuesday, January 6, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Deven Nagalingum, conducted a site visit at the Maryse Justin Stadium in Réduit to assess the condition of the facilities, particularly the athletics track, as well as the necessary cleaning and painting work to improve the overall installations. Several site visits are planned to evaluate sports infrastructure across the island, in accordance with the ministry's activity schedule.

The minister noted that the stadium is regularly used by many athletes for training, while highlighting that the track is damaged and unsuitable for competitive events. He reaffirmed that improving sports infrastructure remains a top priority. In this regard, a reassessment of the scope of work, including cleaning and painting, will be conducted to make the stadium more user-friendly.
