A Neighbor Offers to Care for the Infant After the Murder of Sivanee Saminaden

A neighbor of Sivanee Saminaden and Beltrami Bolzalo Kemayou has come forward to the Ministry of Gender Equality, offering to take care of their six-month-old baby. According to available information, she regularly looked after the child.

However, the ministry has stated that a social investigation will be conducted before any decision is made regarding the baby's care. Authorities claim they are working swiftly to ensure the best interests of the child are met.

Currently, the baby remains hospitalized. She is receiving close medical supervision, her health condition is deemed stable, and she is gradually starting to adapt to the substitute foods provided by the hospital. In light of the challenges related to her feeding, two mothers have also stepped forward, offering their help to breastfeed the child.

Sivanee Saminaden, aged 29, was killed by her husband, Beltrami Kemayou, 24, during a violent domestic dispute in Petit-Raffray on Sunday, January 4. After the murder, he threw their baby into the backyard before fleeing. He was later apprehended by bystanders on a nearby bridge and handed over to the police.
