At SAJ Hospital: Newborn Found Alive in Toilet Trash Can

A disturbing incident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 6, at SAJ Hospital. A female newborn was discovered alive in a trash can in the emergency department's restroom.

Hospital police were alerted around 5:40 PM following a report from the medical staff. Upon arrival, a general practitioner at the facility informed them that a 23-year-old woman had just given birth alone in the emergency restroom.
