Grande-Rivière Nord-Ouest: Prisoner Altercation Leaves One Injured

An altercation among several inmates took place at the Grande-Rivière Nord-Ouest prison on Saturday, January 3rd. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM while a prison officer was on duty during the afternoon shift.

According to initial investigation reports, the dispute erupted in the C yard of the correctional facility. During the confrontation, one of the inmates, a 37-year-old resident of Vallée-Pitot, sustained injuries.
