A violent altercation occurred on the night of Saturday, January 4, to Sunday, January 5, in Montagne-Longue, resulting in two serious injuries and the arrest of two suspects, one of whom is a police officer. They are currently detained by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Terre-Rouge. The incident has been classified as a premeditated assault.

The police intervened around 10:30 PM after receiving a call reporting a public dispute near a local shop.
