From September 1, 2026: What You Need to Know About Pension for Those Aged 60 and Over

Individuals who reach the age of 60 between September of this year and August 31, 2027, will only be eligible for the Basic Retirement Pension (BRP), commonly known as universal pension, starting in September 2028, that is, at the age of 62. Those turning 60 between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026, will be able to claim their pension starting September 1, 2026 (at the age of 61).
